Noboby can say that Toby Keith Covel got stuck being lazy. The country music singer-songwriter has been cranking out albums during his 20 years in the business like an automatic press. In each case, the commercial success has grown exponentially and 'Toby Keith' has extended his activity into record producing and acting.
During his early years, he pushed out four albums when he was with the Mercury Records label. Their relationship started in 1993 and continued with his last release there called Dream Walkin in 1998. Keith then lined up with Nashville Dreamworks until 2005. His record production continually generated numbers in both production and audience acceptance. During that time he released five more albums that included some hits like 'How Do You Like Me Now?' and 'Shock N Y'All.'
Ultimately, Keith had the good sense to open up his own label in 2005 called Show Dog Nashville. Another six albums later, his later association with Show Dog Universal has helped the promotion of his work in the country music genre.
The Oklahoma native and former oil worker formed a band early when he was 20 years old called 'Easy Money.' Keith actually did a stint playing semi-pro football when times got tough.
