With inherited smarts, Terri Hatcher has become one of Hollywood's hottest television stars as she portrays one of ABC's Desperate Housewives on Sunday evenings. Her genetic stock gave here a huge advantage to most things as her father was a nuclear physicist and electrical engineer while her mother was a computer programmer for the defense firm of Lockheed Martin. Hatcher did her undergraduate work in mathematics and engineering.
