Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Jayceon Terrell Taylor can't seem to get the luggage of gangs out of his system. Commercially known as Game, formerly The Game, Taylor moves amongst the luminaries of rap from one feud to the other. He has been credited with powerful lyrics that have brought West Coast Rappers some dignity, but the proverbial carcases that line his path include, partners, business associates, friends and certainly enemies.
His launch into the limelight came with the association of G-Unit. Well, that association didn't last. Game and 50-cent have had a long and tumultuous verbal battle that some days gets reconciled and some days becomes a digital Twitter fight.
When he was growing up in Compton, the fights weren't digital. Game lived the thug lifestyle and survived a tough upbringing to become one of the few bloods in a Crip neighborhood. His survival techniques included smarts, drugs, guns and money. Once he moved into the rapper scene, it didn't take long for him to cast a long shadow with his multiple tattoos and uber bravado.
He has had feuds with Suge Knight, 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Jay-Z and Lil Easy-E. He's had so many ongoing feuds it's difficult to register which one are ongoing and which ones have been settled. The live feuds always seem to have gun play as a back drop. In several instances, entourages from this rapper or that rapper get shot or scuffed up if the boys are feuding.
With his penchant for confrontation, Game has run into a few legal issues. His boys and Snoop Dogs boys seem to have beaten up someone, somewhere and they have been sued for that. That bad gangsta Game took on some mall cops in Greensboro once that landed him in some hot water. From time to time, he always gets accused of pulling a weapon on an alleged assaillee. So far, none of those charges have stuck.
