Amal Alamuddin got her card to fame due to her marriage to famous actor George Clooney. Alamuddin was born in Beirut, Lebanon and is the daughter of Ramzi Alamuddin and Bariaa Alamuddin. Both her parents had pretty demanding jobs and this probably led her to a career in law. Her father was a professor of business studies in the American University of Beirut and her mother a foreign editor for a local newspaper.
The famous lawyer studied at the University of Oxford and was awarded with an Exhibition scholarship and a Shrigley Award. She graduated in the year 2000 with a Bachelor in the Arts. Alamuddin, now Clooney, then decided to study law at the University of New York to obtain a Masters in law. During her time at the university, she received the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award for excellence in entertainment law.
After graduation she started her career at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and was a part of the Criminal Defense and Investigations Group. She was also employed by the UN Special Tribunal for Lebanon and was involved with many high-profile cases. Clooney eventually returned to the United Kingdom, where she works as a barrister in the Doughty Street Chambers of London.
Amal Alamuddin got engaged to famous actor George Clooney in April 2014 and even though the couple obtained their marriage license in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, they got married in Venice. Their wedding was probably one of the celebrity highlights of the year and many were surprised that the beautiful lawyer was able to tie bachelor Clooney down.
During October 2014, the couple announced the purchase of a new home in the Sonning Eye in England. Mill House was bought for approximately 10 million pounds, making England the new home base of this adorable couple.
