Michaele Salahi is an acclaimed American model and socialite. She featured in the reality TV-show “The Real Housewives of D.C.” and gained international fame by crashing a White House state dinner.
Salahi was born on October 1, 1965 in Virginia. Although attending college, she never graduated. Instead, Salahi started working as a receptionist for radio station WKRZ in Scranton in 1989. During the 1990s she changed her job and worked behind the counter in the Tysons Corner Mall. It was not until 2001 when she got one step closer to the world of the stars, when she was working as a make-up artist for one episode for PBS documentary “American Experience.”
Michaele Salahi claims that she is a model and that she had vast experience in this field. However, many people disagree. Salahi claimed to have featured in television spots and that she was frequently used as a model in various magazines. She also claimed to be a former Washington Redskins Cheerleader. Nothing was further from the truth, since the Redskins deny every hiring the alleged model.
Michaele married Tareq Salahi in 2003. Their wedding could be called exuberant, since there was a guest list with 1,836 people, including former U.S. ambassador to Ireland Margaret Heckler. During their time together, the couple was surrounded by controversy, from embezzling charity funds to adultery. Tareq eventually filed for divorce in 2011, first on grounds of adultery and abandonment, later on grounds of cruelty and constructive desertion.
It did not take to long for Salahi to find someone else, because she is now married to Neal Schon. Schon proposed to Salahi during a charity event, offering an 11.42 carat diamond ring. The couple only married one year later in San Francisco, California. Salahi also made a decent buck from her wedding, because the ceremony was available on pay-per-view for $14.95.
